about kate bast

Kate is a content creator who brings to life some of the best parent & mini human hacks, hacktivities, products and recipes as she navigates the wild ride that is parenting. This is your go to resource for parenting tips, parent hacks and activities for kids using things you already have around your home.

Thank you for being here,  we hope to make your journey with mini humans a little easier and A LOT more fun!

Terms to get familiar with...

Mini Human: I am not a parenting expert, just a resourceful mom who turns everyday objects into fun activities and has figured out hacks and products to make life with mini humans a little bit easier. With that said, I use the term “mini human” because children develop differently; I encourage parents to use their best judgment when applying these hacks, activities, recipes and products to the age, stage, and needs of their children.

Hack: I use the term “hack” to describe helpful tips and tricks.

Hacktivity: I use this term to describe do-it-yourself (DIY) activities that we create using everyday objects or things you can get at local stores.

Taste-safe: “Taste-safe” is not synonymous with “edible.” Something that is “taste-safe” means that if your child happens to take a lick, they will be okay.
